Thus Begineth The Journey To Indy

March Madness is upon us. And I for one am STOKED*. The Men's NCAA tournament is always amazing and is quite possibly the most exciting display of heart, emotion, and genuine excitement in televised sports. "Wait a minute, wait a minute, Cory, that's quite a statment, I mean...what about, uh, did you see that Super Bowl game this year.....?" Exactly.

March Madness has everything - artistry of sport, last second victories, upsets - OH THE UPSETS!, men and women from the ages of 18 - 22 caked in ridiculous face paint, and more drum majors, "We're #1!" foam fingers, and catchy school spirit posters spelling out the call letters of a national TV network than you could ever want. And, when this joyous time has passed (and trust me, it will happen in the blink of an eye), we're treated to what gets me through every next coming year - the ONE SHINING MOMENT music video montage shown after the final game ("....The ball is tipped...and theeeeere you are....you're running for your life....", oh man I'm salivating)!! Interesting fact, one year when I lived in Montana and didn't have TV access I actually got my friend Yountz back in North Carolina to tape One Shining Moment for me. People, I LOVE THAT SWEET ANTHEM OF GRACE. I have actually teared up to it before. I want my wedding video set to that song. And I will bounce pass a ring to my wife and then cut her veil like a championship net.

Yes, March Madness is here all right, and I am pretty freakin' excited. It's all around you. And speaking of that, to get into the spirit of the best sporting contest of the year, some New York Duke fans erected a giant inflatable replica of their favorite head coach today, right here in the city:

Happy Braketing.

GO HEELS!!

*This guy is more stoked on T-Rex's than basketball and is possibly jacked up on this.
